Potassium Molybdate is a white, crystalline powder, highly soluble in water. It is a high purity compound.
Potassium Molybdate is a white, crystalline powder, highly soluble in water. It is a high purity compound. Unlike Sodium Molybdate, Potassium Molybdate crystallizes in its anhydrous form, but the compound is still deliquescent in moist air.
Potassium molybdate also used in Agricultural areas, and in particular leaves and dripping liquid and powder fertilizer used in nitrogen and trace elements due to the high amount of molybdenum in the site.
Formula: K₂MoO₄ MW: 238.13 g/mol Melting Pt: 919 °C Density: 2,3 Storage Temperature: Ambient |

Function of molybdenum
Molybdenum is an essential component in two enzymes that convert nitrate into nitrite (a toxic form of nitrogen) and then into ammonia before it is used to synthesize amino acids within the plant. It also needed by symbiotic nitrogen fixing bacteria in legumes to fix atmospheric nitrogen. Plants also use molybdenum to convert inorganic phosphorus into organic forms in the plant.
